Ben Franke is a New York City based photographer and director specializing in high impact portraits and action sports photography, where he’s built a reputation for capturing movement driven stories with energy and authenticity.
His work spans the worlds of sport, subculture, and portraiture. He’s photographed parkour athletes leaping 17-foot roof gaps, ridden the FDR on a bike to shoot cyclists in motion, and collaborated with extreme pogo athletes clearing 12-foot hurdles. He’s also known for intimate, character driven portraits, like his shoot with the world’s top ranked blitz chess player.
Ben is drawn to people and communities united by passion, motion, and vision. Whether directing motion shoots or crafting stills, he thrives on collaboration and the energy it brings to creative projects.
