Ben Franke is a New York City based photographer and director specializing in high impact portraits and action sports photography, where he’s built a reputation for capturing movement driven stories with energy and authenticity.
His work spans the worlds of sport, subculture, and portraiture. He’s photographed parkour athletes leaping 17-foot roof gaps, ridden the FDR on a bike to shoot cyclists in motion, and collaborated with extreme pogo athletes clearing 12-foot hurdles. He’s also known for intimate, character driven portraits, like his shoot with the world’s top ranked blitz chess player.
